Was a bit disappointed in the fact that the dual ballast units in this light are hecho en China. Otherwise, it's a dream.

The selection is HUGE! It took me 2 weeks to weed trough the lamps and identify that I really wanted.

Ordering process, payment and shipment were simple & executed without a flaw. It seemed that the lamp was made after order and shipped directly from the manufacturer, which means to me: Lean companies that have a chance to be around for years to come.

The lamp fixture was flawless of high quality material & components (and I am picky) and came with the the CFLs! The price is certainly higher than something comparable from Home Depot, but I also expect it to outlast me in my house.

The lamp was spec'ed with a HPF electronic ballast but the box indicated a LPF. Lighting Universe customer service called the manufacturer while I was waiting - they requested the ballast part number - and it turned out it was a HPF ballast, just someone forgot to mark the box. All done in 10 minutes. That's what I call customer service!

I'll be ordering again from Lighting Universe shortly!

Original bulbs were 2700 Kelvin which provided a very yellowish light. Replaced bulbs with 4100 and am now extremmely happy with light fixture.
