The base of this fixture does not account for the space required for wiring and is very difficult to mount on the ceiling box because of this. There is also a significant amount of up light or light coming out of the back of the fixture onto the ceiling

Really like this item. Put two of them to illuminate the truss and vaulted ceiling of a timberframe home. What a difference they made. Gives the room warth and drama that it didn't have before. Easy installation. Unobtrusive fixture.
